With us, you’re set.

For our founder, Megan O’Mara, babysitting and nannying has always, always been a way of life — and the Portland metro area families on her roster growing up proved it. But, here’s the thing: there are a ton of families who need incredible babysitters and nannies, and Megan was convinced that there were plenty of incredible nannies to go around. And so, Sitter Setter was born — and with it, a quality roster of top-notch, vetted, and kid-focused nannies and sitters for every family and every home.

At Sitter Setter, we care about providing the very best childcare possible… without the stress of, well… finding the childcare. Our high-touch matchmaking service connects Oregon families with sitters and nannies tailored to each families’ needs, and our thorough, careful vetting takes all of the stress out of date nights, workdays, and even sick days.

Sitter Setter was founded on the simple idea that there’s nothing better than really great childcareand it shouldn’t be so hard to find.

TEAM

Founder of sitter setter

Megan O’Mara
Founder, Co-Owner

A Portland native, Megan founded Sitter Setter with a decade-plus of experience to become a matchmaker for families and sitters. Megan now helps to run Sitter Setter from her new home in Boston, MA, where she spends days as a dental sales consultant and nights managing behind the scenes at Sitter Setter.

When she’s not behind the scenes or working with dentists on their business goals, she enjoys camping, hiking, golfing, spending time with her family and friends, and being the best parallel parker that she knows.

(Cough, cough… Amber!)

Amber Albin
Co-Owner

With experience as a lawyer, a critical care & cardiac nurse, and a serial entrepreneur, Amber has spent the last 15 years as a practicing attorney specializing in healthcare and small business law. As the proud mother of 3 girls, she knows first-hand how difficult it is to find childcare that you can rely on and trust in.

When she’s not reading contracts or helping with Sitter Setter’s business development, Amber is hanging out with her family, playing the piano, practicing yoga, embarrassing her children, and maintaining her spot as the #1 parallel parker for miles.

(Cough, cough… Megan!)

Kelsey Sorenson
Placement Coordinator

An Oregon native with experience in everything from health and wellness to nannying and e-learning sales, Kelsey now helps to coordinate the perfect family/sitter placements at Sitter Setter. As a nanny for 8+ years herself (including for Amber’s two youngest!), Kelsey knows how important the right matches really can be.

As a mama now, Kelsey loves chugging coffee on walks with her corgi, daughter & son, running, reading, and trying to snag every horizontal break she can.

(Kelsey, on the other hand, is *not* competitive about her parallel parking skills.)

AnneMarie Minniti
Operations Manager

As a Sitter Setter babysitter herself for the last 5 years, you might recognize this friendly face. AnneMarie is bringing her engineering skills (hello excel wizard) and her extensive knowledge of our platform to help us keep the Sitter Setter engine running smoothly for both parents and sitters. As operations manager, she works behind-the-scenes to communicate with parents, interview and vet potential new sitters, help coordinate the perfect placements for families, and manage day to day needs. Her experience as a Sitter Setter babysitter makes her a perfect match for this job— she knows just what to look for in a sitter, understands how important it is to find a good match for your kids, and has years of experience communicating effectively with parents about what matters to them the most.

While she doesn’t have human children, she is a dog mom to an adorable 2 year old GSP named Lennon. AnneMarie loves to be active in her free time; you can find her running marathons, hiking with Lennon or taking her to the dog park, playing rec sports, or volunteering with Every Body Athletics. She’s also an expert in annoying her older sister, Libby.

(Kelsey, let’s grab a coffee while those two figure it out.)
